Is it safe to take legal advice in this way?

Not all legal matters are suitable for the Law Shop self-help service. We will tell you if we don't think you should use the service in a particular case.

All the advice (which can include help with drafting of letters or form-filling) is given by our qualified, regulated and insured lawyers.  Anything you do on your own, without checking it with the qualified lawyer, will be your own responsibility.

Any advice we give you will be confirmed in writing.  We can help you with drafting letters or form-filling that will go out in your name. We will record this in writing, if you wish.  In that way, provided you have given us all the relevant information, you will have the same professional safeguards for the quality of that piece of work as you would have had if it had gone out in our name as solicitors acting for you.
